  5. Mari, I am working on the 2014 planner as we speak. I'm keeping most of it the same but adding a few extras like journal pages, address/contact page and general conference note pages. These will possibly be available in the BYU Bookstore in Sept. or you can order from here when they are available.

  6. What are the dates of the calendar? Is it only for 2013 or is it May-May, for instance? I'd love to buy one but will probably wait until 2014 since '13 is almost half over. LOVE this planner! You've done an incredible job with it!

  7. This is an awesome planner! I love the idea, and it looks so professional. One thing I might suggest about the next one for 2014--I'm not sure you need the apostrophe in the word Mothers on the front cover. If you mean just a bunch of mothers: no apostrophe. If you mean something belonging to a mother: apostrophe.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Thanks Amy. Yes I noticed that apostrophe the day after I shipped out the first print run. I fixed it for this last run. I don't really know what I was thinking.

  9. I'm happy to say, that is not enough children pages for my family. :) Would you be able to add more for me?

    1. Sarah, I think the best thing to do if you have more than 5 kids is to photocopy one of the spreads and double side tape the edge and insert however many more pages you might need. I have some women saying that 5 is too much. My sister uses some of the extra space to glue or tape in pictures or tickets and pockets, etc. But yah, for you I would just add in those extra pages manually.

      Delete
    2. I could email you the download of those specific pages too if that would help.

      Delete
    3. Is there any way to customize a planner so that I wouldn't have to tape in extra pages? I have nine children and have been trying to create something like this on my own, but yours is way more awesome! I'd be willing to pay extra for it. I also love the idea of a June-June calendar. Let me know! Thanks for all your great work!

      Delete
    4. Melinda... I would like the download of the kids page. We have 8 and so will just add them extra as you suggested.

  11. This is a very good start! Very cute and functional. Might I suggest an undated version so that people could start it whenever they need to. Also, I would love to see a place to keep track of projects (I'm a quilter) and exercise (a monthly calender that tracks minutes per day and type of exercise, plus total minutes per week and total number of days per week). Your work here is SO close to perfect; hopefully you will take my suggestions in the spirit of love in which I offer them.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Thanks for your input. There are quite a few places in the planner you could track your projects. In the weekly planners there are sections divided off to where you can categorize it the way you would like. You could do your exercise tracking on those, or just schedule on the monthly calendar page. You could keep track of your projects on the lists or the divider page which is just blank lines. Just some ideas.

For the 2014 planners, I am going to throw in a few extra pages for the project minded woman. It will also have a monthly grocery tracker to keep track of shopping needs. I am condensing the holiday planners onto one sheet instead of the two allowing for extra room to customize as needed.

      Thanks again.

      Delete
    2. I really like that it has two pages for the holiday planners and I was going to order the 2014 and was so excited for those pages. Please keep them, please! :)

  12. Melinda!!! You are a genius!!! Thank you so much for fulfilling a need for so many moms. :) Smiley faces all over the place for you! I think it is wonderful! Here are a few random thoughts I had while reading through the comments left before mine..... You could create quite the thick planner providing for every need of every woman... I see the value of each of these suggestions, however, I really feel that you are inspired and will be led to which items to include, edit, and remove in the future. With that said, have you thought about a food storage/preparedness section/insert/ addition? Also, there are many moms that work from home ie: blog, home business, volunteer/community service, etc. What are your thoughts on accommodating some of these needs into the planner? Are there ways to add a goal section? or more notes section? what about Temple service/work, genealogy goals, Home maintenance section/to do's, vehicle maintenance. I think many of these ideas could be incorporated into an additional add/on, not necessarily in the same planner. Totally looking forward to the 2014 addition! Thanks again for offering such an amazing product!

  18. I would also like to order a pfd version and print it myself. One of the reasons being I also not Mormon and am more interested in the planner areas than the faith area since they are different. If not its okay :) I also just preordered a 2014 version.

  19. I absolutely love your planner and I plan on buying a 2014 edition. One suggestion - I currently use an Erin Condren planner and 2 things I LOVE are the folder in the back where I can put papers (like tithing slips, RS monthly newsletters, etc) and also a plastic closable pouch, I keep stamps, pens, and other important things in there I want to make sure I don't lose. My planners are like my portable filing cabinet!

  31. Do you have a 2014 planner for EMPTY NESTER moms/grammas?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Gwen, you can actually use the mom planner as an empty nester. You can either tear the kids pages out or just tape things over them. OR you could use them to keep track of gifts for your kids/grandkids birthdays, presents, etc. There are 5 total. The FHE pages can be used for ideas on how to strengthen your family even though they are not living at home. The lesson plans can be used to ask your grandkids questions and keep up to date with what they are learning, just some ideas.

Right now, unfortunately, we are just offering the mom planner and the young women version. Thought I am seriously considering an empty nester/not a mom yet planner.

  35. I just wanted to share my Facebook status that I put up with a link, within 5 minutes of discovering your planner:
"Seriously, I hyperventilated as I looked through the photos of the pages of this Mormon Mom planner. I died, and went to heaven....But then came back so I can use this planner. I NEED one. NEED. Andrew Henderson, are you getting this? I NEED it. If you don't want to spend $35 on it, call my mom, or Heather (Heather, take a good look at these pages!!!!). Plus, I solemnly vow that if I get one I will stop trying to design and print my own, using up all of the printer ink."

I'm looking for a planner that has a place for household organization as well as a zipper pocket or file pockets. In your 2014 calendar, are any of those things available? I really want to use this planner as my family/blog planner so I need the pages in different order and with blog pages in between. Can I order this LDS planner as a printable or.... do I have to buy the printed one and remove the coil and cut off the hole punched edge? What do you think?

    1. We could get a copy for you that has no cover and isn't bound if that will work for you.

  59. This is the most wonderful planner I've ever seen! I made my 2013 calendar with print off and a small binder. It became too bulky. Your planner has ever more than I could've imagined putting in one and is the perfect size to tote around for the entire year. Thank you for making this. I am asking my husband to get me your 2014 planner for Christmas!

  60. I have been trying for two days to order and for some reason Paypal won't let me use the debit card I'm trying to use. Which is strange because I use it all the time. I really want to order. Can I contact you some how and order over the phone? Thank you so much!

  61. I ordered a week ago and my card was processed, but I got an email from paypal saying my shipment was cancelled because "the label wouldn't print". I tried contacting them, but they have directed me to you. Any ideas??

    1. No worries. Everything is fine and scheduled to ship. Your label was cancelled but not the order, we had trouble with our printer and had to issue a new label. Sorry about the confusion.

  65. Hi there! I thought I had pre-ordered but have not seen any emails/charges through pay-pal. I'm just hoping to find out if I need to re-order?? Thanks.

    1. Your planners have shipped. You should be getting them Monday or Tuesday. Let me know if it's later than that. Question though, did you not get any email notifying you they shipped? Did it perhaps go to your junk mail? Let me know if you didn't so I can make some adjustments with PayPal. Thanks.

  69. I got my 2014 Mothers Who Know planner in the mail today!! OMG this is so close to being the perfect planner... I love it. On hindsight I probably should have ordered the Mom on the Go Planner, but I didn't see that one back when I ordered this one... But this is great.

I have been trying to find a planner where I can track my kids and husband, my Tupperware business AND my blog as well as having other features. It has tons of the features I have been looking for... organizing areas, a monthly budget space, tons of space for my "ideas" and lists. As well as holiday planning space! Loving it already... :)

    2. We had some issues with our orders in July and June. PayPal didn't show those orders for some reason when we were shipping. I'm working on fixing all of those by hand. Could you send me a pm to melmomcreates5@gmail.com so I can have your info to investigate. Thanks

  74. Hi Melinda,
A friend of mine just got a copy of your planner, and it is so cute. I recently took a tele-class called Mothers Who Know, and I was wondering if you have also taken that class. Your planner is super cute, and I would be interested in a Mothers Who Know journal that would go better with the Mothers Who Know addiction program. If you would be interested in making something like that I would be interested in buying it. You can find information on the class here:
    http://treeoflifemothering.ning.com/profiles/blogs/april-session-of-mothers-who-know
And there are ways to make it so the journal could be used by people who haven't even taken the course.
Let me know what you think!

  78. I'm late getting my planner for this year and I usually by the Mom Planner from Franklin. Then I stumbled onto your blog as I searched Pinterest for other planners. I love everything about your planner, especially the pages for LDS related planning. Just one question--do you have pages that can be used for individual family member that will track homework, appointments, update on Doctor's visit (i.e. weight, height, etc.)?

    1. Yes, I have 6 sheets you can use to track each child.

  79. Hi. I ordered a planner on January 8 and my order says still awaiting fulfillment. I sent an email reply on my order email, but I haven't heard anything back. Can I just have it switched out for a cover that is in stock. I'm not particular on the cover, and would like to get it soon so I can start using the planner. Thanks! Heidal Summers

  80. Dear Sister Christensen,
I received my planner today and it is absolutely exquisite. I love everything about it. I do have one question though. Are the rings supposed to be bent or are they completely round. We live in a community with a community mailbox and they are very tiny. Our inconsiderate mail carrier shoved the package into the little box instead of putting it in the package boxes. He then proceeded to throw his trash into our street from out of his truck. The package itself is mangled beyond recognition. My husband tried to carefully remove it from the box but it was really stuck. It took him over 20 minutes to set it free. I called the Post Office and they filed a complaint against the carrier and told me that the package was insured and I should file a claim. Is that necessary?

    1. Holly, I'm sorry to hear that it arrived damaged. If you can send me some pictures I can file the claim for you. Let's continue this conversation via e-mail - send me a message at: melinda@intheleafytreetops.com

  81. I just got my planner last week and I love it! Where was this 9 years ago? So creative. I do have question, though. Will I be receiving the new stickers for my new planner or will I need to order them separately? Thank you so much!!!

The labels do not come included with the planners, but they will be available to purchase separately once we have them ready. Keep a look out on the blog/facebook. We will announce it once they are ready.
